Re: Restaurants and Bars w noteworthy Port/Madeira offerings

Maybe make it a yearly/5-yearly FTLOP pilgrimage? I would say every couple years would be fun and keep it from getting too regular. We could do some serious damage to their cellar, I've seen how many on here can suck down the tasty purple liquid like water :winebath: [cheers.gif] You need an ...

Re: What have you opened this week?

Its the wine used for mass which puts a whole new light ...

Re: Lots of new faces ... please introduce yourself

This is a little bit of a "long time listener, first time caller" deal. I joined the forum in 2007 and never made a post until today. Frankly I have no idea why, but due to the magic of in flight WiFi had some time to do so. I have been enjoying port for many years, but only started...

Re: Obstacles to Port procurement

I think its 3 different things for me. 1. Prioritization against other wine purchases - 2. Drinking window vs cellaring time. I bought some '07 VPs when I decided I really should have some good port in the cellar, but didn't fully internalize the epic time scale between release and when it is 'ready...
