Re: What have you opened this week?
1958 Quinta do Noval da Silvas. I didn't open it but my brother-in-law was generous enough to pop this for Thanksgiving. I thought this was a Colheita before he pulled the cork, but it was a Vintage. Opened up a bit and the heat diminished after a few hours in the decanter and turned out to be quite...

Re: When opening a bottle of Port ... how many pours do you get?
For those who remember the reference ... In the famous words of the wise owl from the Tootsie pop commercial ...
"One, two, three ... (crunch). Three."
Actually, I get about 8 pours out of a 750ml bottle. But, my wife says I pour too generously.

I opened a bottle of this in 2010 and had a similar, though a bit more pleasant, experience to yours.

Re: What have you opened this week?
Decanted a 1975 Graham's magnum for a party tonight. Bought this a few years ago and have been looking for the right opportunity to open. Beautiful brick red color and early indications are that this is going to be a very nice specimen of this Port.

I'm going to have to say 1963 followed closely by 1970. Love the 1963 Fonseca, but also love the 1970 Graham's

Re: What Port(s) have you purchased this week?
San Leonardo 40 year old. Where do you find it? Or do you always bring it w you from Portugal? My brother-in-law ordered it from a local wine merchant. He got 4 bottles and I bought 2 of them. It is the only Port I have from my birth year and I had never seen them available anywhere. So, I couldn't...

Re: What have you opened this week?
It is quite good. Not overly complex and beginning to mature. I don't see it getting better, so I would suggest drinking up. It is keeping me away from my '55s, '63s, and '70s
It is in a really good spot right now, though.
