Yes, I have even had 2011 cask samples of Malvasia which I thought was an extremely balanced and delicious Madeira. But no mouldy smell or so? The few Madeira wines I've had, which have been cork tainted, were short, tart and also had this unpleasant wet cardboard odour.

I'm paying EUR 46 for this one which is roughly USD 60. Think it has an elegance I'm happy to pay for. Quite different from the H&H 20 YO Terrantez and now when I've had them both on several occasions I'm leaning towards the Blandy's.
