Re: How far have you travelled just for a Port tasting?

hi,

Yes it was good fun - apart from the 1970 taylor and the '75 Kopke and a certian young ladies' cookies, my most endearing memory is of your Doggies (Yorkshire terriers????) visiting mid-tasting and causing chaos - brilliant!!!

Re: VP vs. LBV: A Port Dilemma

hi,

Also the Taylor's 2008 LBV is excellent at the mo! especially @ £11, $18.50 (until tuesday @ Waitrose), even at full wack of around £14-15 it still a very well put-together port - i drink more LBV's then anything else as they are easily available (living in the UK!).

Re: VP vs. LBV: A Port Dilemma

I agree about the Warre's - their 2002 Bottle Aged (unfilitered) LBV available in the UK from Waitrose is excellent.

Hi, Been away from the forum for too long - real life (promotion at work) and all that! but to cut a long story short; i've been commuting into work with a Portuguese Student doing his placement year where i work (Rolls-Royce Motor Cars, i sub-contract for an IT company) - it's manufacturing so it's...

Re: What have you opened this week?

Morrison's own brand (cheapish supermarket in the UK) 2006 LBV : £9 (~$14) made by the "Symmington Family Estates" (suspect one of their lesser concerns) - this has been my "little find" of the 2011 xmas period - for the money; bloody lovely!!
