Hey Jeff

Have you tried any Warre's VP? They are not as big a name as Fonseca/Taylor/Noval but they are quite tasty and quite affordable. I've got a bunch from assorted vintages.

Does that mean that even rubbish port after 30-40yrs becomes so mellowed out that its quite drinkable? (Just like it seems that a lot of people score very old port pretty highly...Is that because of the bias of "age"?)

yeah hehe the price is  for either one of those bottles honestly...but for those in the USA...remember you gotta add bottle cost+ flight to the UK + hotel cost + bad exchange rate= pretty pricey...unless Alex or JD are willing to put us up to save a few pennies hehe ^_^

I guess 2005 was a good year all around all over...I picked up a whole buncha German Rieslings which are great also in 05

I'm really curious how 06 will come out tho since I got married last year... gonna need to pick up a whole bunch of port and
assorted stuff to celebrate thru the years. :)

I don't have any full OWC cases of port but I would imagine like any other wine thats sealed with a cork...its good to keep the cork moist(unless your going to drink it soon)...I would make sure all your ports were sleeping horizontaly
