Wow! I attended the event as well but probably tasted only 20 and didn't bother taking detailed notes.
I enjoyed the 2007 Quinta do Pego VP as well... I'd remember giving it a 92 in my head. Great job!

Not port, but picked up a bottle of 2003 Ramos Pinto Duas Quintas Reserva for $12.99 in a local store, sitting on the bottom shelf below a sign that said "Spain." (grrr...) Maybe they have it mixed up with the non-Reserva. Going to head back over to buy a few more.

bottled in 2005.
Also has some Six Grapes for $10.40/bottle. He's a reputable seller - I bought a few other bottles from him.

20 Year Old Tawny Port by Dow's
First tasting note on FTLOP! Bright orange, almost marmalade color with long legs, slightly viscous. Nose seems subdued, non-alcoholic with slight hints of citrus, no hint of alcohol unless I'm pressed deep inside the glass. Pleasant first sip but with a lighter body than I'm used to - citrus theme ...

Re: Lots of new faces ... please introduce yourself
Thanks for the warm welcome, Andy and Roy! I'm still a relative port novice but I'm here to learn more and by the time some of my VPs are mature, I'll hopefully know that much more about them :) We'll have to have a few glasses next time you're around San Francisco.

Gustavo! It's Lester - we met at Graham's last month and I made my way to FTLOP. I'll send an email shortly.
First case was 2003 Quinta do Noval Silval at $300.

Re: Lots of new faces ... please introduce yourself
Just visited Portugal for the first time in January - a sort of pilgrimage I'd always wanted to make since I started enjoying port in 2003. I spent a day at Graham's and met Gustavo, who recommended I check out FTLOP :) I bought the last 1980 Graham's at the lodge for my birth year and have been on ...
