It arrived in a reasonable amount of time given the distance shipped (I live in Seattle) and the bottle was in pristine condition. VAT is not charged, but importantly as a reference point, the shipping cost for that single bot...

For me it's seasonal. Last fall and winter I drank mature VP's like a maniac.

well, Roy's probably going to go with the 1815 Ferreira, or some other everyday Port, but I think I have to go with the Fonseca 63 as well.

Tried the Taylor 83 earlier in the year and was not impressed. Not flawed, but not impressive (~$85 or so).

The Graham 85 is great and hard to find detractors on that one.

We had the Dow 2000 LBV at a tasting not too long ago, and it was pretty good. Worth a sawbuck.

Fonseca 48 $1000+ (ouch, but a "holy grail" item)

VP tie: Fonseca 70, Taylor 70.

Check your bottle again. I have had the Barros 77 twice recently and the bottling date is in tiny font type on the small barcode label.

Roy is correct. This is a great topic. And of course, the answer lies in personal preference. However, I would suugest an "acid test" for the answer... If someone handed you a gift of $1,000 and said you had to use it to buy Port to drink that month, what would you buy? My honest answer wo...
