Very nice read.
He is spot on about the qpr and diversity.

One thing I like about portuguese wines is the decision to stick to the local grapes and not try to copy the style of bordeaux or other growing areas.

While I would clearly like to try these wines, the pricing just seems to be very optimistic.
I'm looking forward to seeieng what the pricing will be like here in Denmark.

Since the millenium, pretty much every other year has had juice that was good enough to declare for a majority of the producers. Taking the weakest years to be actually declared as the benchmark, about 70% of vintages are declarable. But if in generel half the vintages of today are as good or bette...

Personally I am in the declare when the juice is good camp. Since the millenium, pretty much every other year has had juice that was good enough to declare for a majority of the producers. By having more vintages available prices should be lower at least in the non blockbuster years, so more people can buy ports without breaking the bank. I've seen CdP vary widely from a good year to a bad one, easily a 2x price difference. I don't track Bordeaux as much, but I know I've seen a fair ...

I don't see it as a problem. Yes there is a practical issue for verticals, but you can split it over two days or just taste the vintages that are supposed to be the better ones. I am sure the findings are correct, but I fear that a lot of people will use this as an excuse to use to much oil and eat to many nuts, all the while wondering why they are not losing weight while consuming said healthy products. Especially when the article says things like a generous handful of nut...
