Re: FTLOP 14th Anniversary Tasting

Looks like I will not be able to come after all. Hopefully Marcus will be able to fill my spot. Sorry to not be able to come and be with you all again. [foilhat.gif]

Re: FTLOP 12th Anniversary Party information

Glenn, I understand the problem you have, hosting an event to which TOO many people want to come, just because the event will be so incredible! The problem is that you are TOO good at creating a great event.
Please do keep me posted.
Thanks, Don

I have reserved at the motel 6 which is about 200 meters from the holiday inn. Half the price. Close enough for a wobbly walk back after the tasting. [cheers.gif]

Glenn, I have not been able to locate any other 1966's. I still have my Graham's. Does anyone have an extra 1966 that I could trade my Graham's for? Don

Count me in for both days. The only 1966 I have is the Graham's. Glenn, do you have something else you could bring. Sorry I do not have any others.

Re: What is the best domestic (US) "Port" you've ever found?

I am not usually a contrarian, but, 1. I have never liked Ficlkin, ever. I have tasted it many times over the last 40 years. Sorry [imnewhere.gif] 2. I love the 1977 J.W.Morris, having tasted several times over the last 39 years. I still have 5 bottles and am looking forward to opening each one, but...

Re: Decanting a 1963 Fonseca

Thanks for all the great advice. I will be able to have it at the 45 degree angle for days before tonging it and decanting. I will probably do it just before the dinner starts and hopefully, by the end of the meal it will be able to show its stuff. I will let you know how it turns out. The last one ...

A big thanks to everyone for being very considerate of the requests of the "novice" to your tastings. I learned so much. Both tastings were unbelievable.

Re: FTLOP 9th Anniversary Party - Update 7/12/14

A Friday night get together sounds like fun to me. I will be staying at the Motel 6 around the corner on Friday and the Holiday Inn on Saturday. I have a room with two beds for each night. If anyone is desperate, I would be open to sharing. Let me know at [email protected].

Re: FTLOP 9th Anniversary Party - Update 7/7/14

I am in for Sunday also. Does 77 Fonseca sound good? I would love to get some time parameters. What time should we plan to be there on Saturday and what time will the event be on Sunday? It does not matter when the good times end, only when they begin….

Eric,
I have a much better idea. You bring your Nacional and I will find a Noval Regular for the tasting. What do you think?
