Re: What have you opened this week?

Dow's 1997 VP

I think this one is going through it's adolescent age period, but still quite nice.

Re: FTLOP on Twitter?

Twitter and Facebook are what you make of them. Yes, there is a lot of mindless drivel that gets posted on both, but there's also a lot of thoughtful commentary. I suppose it depends who your friends are (Facebook) or who you're following (Twitter). Exactly, there are things that can be expressed q...

Re: FTLOP on Twitter?

I admit I don't post often on Twitter, but I find that's it tremendously helpful for keeping track of things that you are following, especially on mobile devices. I also like that you can track Twitter individual you are following even without logging in. For the person posting, Twitter is great for...

FTLOP on Twitter?

Just a quick question. Are there any plans for FTLOP to go on twitter? It would be nice to be able to track this site from there.

Re: How to turn around Port sales into the black again?

An extensive (and successful) marketing campaign would definitely do a lot for port, though I'm not completely sure I'll be happy if the prices for the new releases of VPs start climbing to the $200s.

Re: OWC - Original Wood Cases

... in wood cases or if some can go in cardboard, so at least we save some trees. If part of it goes to shelf, at least part of the wood boxes are going to be destroyed. Well, cardboard and OWC both come from trees, don't they? I guess the cardboard, however, is a little more indirect and may have ...

Re: What Port(s) have you purchased this week?

6 x 2003 Quinta do Noval vintage for $57/bottle.

Seems like the price is dropping for this particular vintage, is there something wrong with it or is it simply time to stock up?

Re: TRADER JOE'S - not the first name you think of for Port

Coming is the Quarles Harris Port 1994. This will hit Trader Joes about mid-July. It will be around $23.00 when it hits the stores. Keep your eyes open for this. It is a very solid VP and what a bargain it shall be. <Todd commences to weep openly on the floor> I need to move to the States!!! :beat:...

Re: Building a collection

I was going to upload an excel spreadsheet that I threw together as a guide for building a collection, taking cues from the previous posts. Sadly the xls attachments are not allowed. Is there a way to upload it? :-) [imnewhere.gif]
