For The Love Of Port

The 99 was wonderful so I'd like some info on the 2000.

I always pop and pour but some taste better the longer they sit. So what do you do?

This is my every day LBV, it's not as good as the 94 but for the money it's hard to beat.

I see lots of port available on WC but since I don't know how it was stored I've never bought any. So what are your experiences with buy port at auction?

I'm a big fan of the 27 PX however like Roy I can't drink a lot of it.

I saw that wine and was going to bid on it but it said sign of seepage so I passed.

I really know nothing about this wine but I picked up a couple of bottles for $25 a piece. Has anyone tried this wine, and how long to decant? Thanks.

I spent $400 on a bottle of 70 Nacional...I figured that when it's 50 I'll be 65, that'll be a nice birthday wine.

I agree with Tom, you won't go wrong with a longer decant.

While I like the 95 a lot, I must say the the 94 Warre LBV was a much better wine. Lately I've buying thr 99 Quinta Do Crasto which I found to be more interesting and a little cheaper.

For Thanksgiving I drank a 2000 Warres VP a nice but simple wine. No alc to speak of but this wine while pleasent is only a notch above an LBV. I only spent $29.99 on it and for the money is a fair price but this is not the best Warres that I've ever had.

To bad for Roy that the winner wasn't in Europe. Oh well, a trip to California sounds nice now that the rains have returned to Seattle.
