Mouchao Tonel Licoro 2012. Outstanding and got better each day. Was actually better after day 3.

I'd like to say a "half-wit" but someone who was on the fence. They now cannot. Still room if you'd like to attend!
I asked the wife if she was interested. We'll discuss it tonight. Need to find a dog sitter.

Agreed. Same with Fonseca tawny.

I bought a bunch of non-Port fortified's that were all fantastic and well priced. Need to pick up some more! Moses, can you list what you liked? Thanks. I really need to dig around to find most of them :( , but 2012 Mouchao "Sobremesa Dessert Tonel Aged" was one of them. There are a coupl...

Re: Port Buying Decisions

I drink way more young port today than I thought I ever would. The vintage stuff tends to languish, but that's ok. Not going anywhere.

Enjoying ruby reserves and 10 year tawny as regular week day drinkers. Non port fortified's have struck a chord in the last year.

H&H, Justinho, and Broadbent are my go to brands. Possibly because that's what's on normally carried.

Re: What Port(s) have you purchased this week?

Warre Traditional Bottle Aged LBV is a staple offer in the supermarkets in the UK. The vintage for sale switched from 2010 to 2011 late last year. I've been waiting for one of the supermarkets to decide to offer a discount - and one has. I've just bought 6 bottles of 2011 LBV for $26.50 per bottle....

Re: What have you opened this week?

The only knock I have against Warre is that usually, their LBV is priced higher than other LBV's (with Sandeman as the exception because Sandeman is always priced high for some reason). Warre's is deserving of the price they ask for their LBV. I would say it's best easily found LBV on the market. [...

We bought a few bottles of the 2010 (also a great port) as the current vintage on offer at our local Total Wine.

Pretty cool to be able to buy a vintage that old without breaking the bank.
