Pocas is a much smaller company. if the people in the lagare are living and working together in the same "bubble" anyway it doesn't matter. in a big company with much bigger volumes it's nearly impossible to have the same few people doing all the work.

i have another 1970 Graham bottle here (empty) that was bottled in Portugal with a selo. the same embossed glass bottle as posted by Moses but yet another different label in english and french.

it's an interesting video. what i understood mostly is that in top quality port you need good grapes but also very skilled people and the needed combination of specific grapes and skills is different for vintages and tawnies. and i think no winemaker will ever tell you he/she uses lower quality grap...

i don't know about other port companies but i can add that quite a few of brewers and distillers here in Belgium are doing the same. some hotels are taking in homeless because the normal shelters -with big dorms- are to dangerous fashion companies are sewing masks, event companies make plexi screens...

i totally understand why you would wait for a special occasion to open a special bottle. i'm like that as well. but sometimes i just feel like having a good bottle of port and i might invite some friends to make it an occasion. don't you ever want to celebrate a good... tuesday? or a friday perhaps?...
