Would suspect an off bottle. I’ve had this a number of times and usually an excellent VP. Hopefully your next shows better.

1992 Smith Woodhouse LBV. Quick note. Still quite dark for an LBV. Resolved tannins. Though the fruit wasn’t quite peaked yet. Overall, in a great spot to enjoy. I don’t see too much upside potential from here though it will continue to age and be fine.

A 2011 Kopke Colheita…that was corked. How rare is it for a t-corked tawny to be corked. Oh well, opened a lovely fully mature 1990 Quinta do Vesuvio VP as an emergency backup.
