I just picked up a bottle of Yalumba 50 year old Tawny Port (desser wine since it is from Australia). Parker gave it a 98. My local merchant also raved about it. Has anyone tried it? FYI, the price was bout $50. It looks like there is another port (dessert wine) from Yalumba that is about $16. Anyon...

Thanks for the information. The local wine shop has it for $29.99 so, based off of what you are saying, I think I will pick up a couple more bottles.

I bought a bottle of Quinta do Passadouro, vintage 1997. It says that it is bottled and shipped by Niepoort. I assume this is just a Quinta from Niepoort, but how does it compare to the vintage 1997 Niepoort? Is this common for producers to make a vintage and a quinta on the same year? Any thoughts ...

I know here in the midwest, it is sometimes difficult to get some of the houses that produces smaller quantities. It would be great to have a place to go and get some of these.
