Re: 2014 Port Harvest Tour

Roy,
I have read and reread your postings of the Harvest Tour and it sounds fantastic as always. I believe 2015 will be my year to join in on the fun. I can hardly wait for the details!

Best regards,
Edgar

Re: Various Ports for sale

Thank you, Andy.
I missed the click where I made it a separate post and I'm not tech savvy enough to change it from a reply to a separate post.
Thank you for taking care of that!

Various Ports for sale UPDATED 10/28

As Roy said, Tis the season for port buying. I want to clear out these ports I'm selling for a friend of mine. He just sent new reduced pricing, so I'm passing this on to fellow FTLOPers now so as to not interfere with Roy's port offer. I am not in the wine business and only agreed to do this becaus...

Re: port sale

Hey Stewart,

That's a great idea. Email is vino61@hotmail.com. Or do the PM thing. I didn't think of that.
Thank you for the suggestions.

port sale

Hello fellow FTLOPers, A friend of mine is selling a small portion of his VP collection. he simply has too much port. He has asked me facilitate this process for him, since he is a very busy radiation oncologist. I have no skin in this deal, except a few bottles of port for my time. The list is fair...

1994 Croft x 4
2011 Warre x 4
2011 Sandeman x 4
2011 Quinta do Vesuvio x 5, actually, 2 weeks ago.

Re: FTLOP 9th Anniversary Party - Update 7/18/14

What a "portacular" weekend! A tasting the likelihood of which being replicated anywhere is rare. I am so privileged to have been a part of it. As a mere thank you seems inadequate, I am bowing and scraping to Roy, Andy, Vic, Lisa, Glenn, and thanking all others who shared their knowledge ...

Re: FTLOP 9th Anniversary Party - Update 7/12/14

Same as Don, I'm staying at Motel 6 Friday night and moving to Holi Inn Sat. (gotta save some $$ to pay for port) I can meet at the Inn Friday pm to hand off the 63 warre's.

Goan food sounds great to me! Actually, never had it before, but since I like just about everything, I'm going for it.

Good question, Lindsay. I'm wondering, too, for the 63 Warre's.
I, too, will have a car for Sunday.

Re: FTLOP 9th Anniversary Party - Update 7/12/14

A remarkable afternoon, indeed! What a remarkable weekend!! I will be there Friday night, so are there any plans for a wine-a-thon then? maybe drink some old Bordeaux :winepour: just as a tune-up for the port. If not, where should I eat in Issaquah? Is Jak's Steak any good? Thanks for any info provi...

Re: FTLOP 9th Anniversary Party - Update 7/7/14

Roy, I understand what you're saying and a Friday night stay would be great, except that they are quite proud of their rooms at Hol Inn Issaquah @ $200/ night includes taxes etc.

No whining from me...I'll sort it out someway.

Re: FTLOP 9th Anniversary Party - Update 7/7/14

From my POV, a noon start time for '94 port part 1 is too early. I say that because I'm driving from Port Angeles, WA, about a 4-5 hour drive and ferry ride and depending upon the vagaries of the Hood Canal bridge being closed for a ship to pass through. Yes, I hear you saying...leave earlier, but I...

I'm also in for Sunday. How about '63 or '70 Warre's or '70 Taylor?

Re: FTLOP 9th Anniversary Party - Update 6/24/14

I'm curious about Sunday activities, if any. I've reserved two nights at non-refundable rates, so hopefully something is brewing for Sunday afternoon or evening. [beg.gif]
