We tasted 159 wines during the 2012 Fortification Tour:
61 Ports
65 Madeiras
33 Table wines

...and more than a few Super Bock and Coral beers.

Thanks Roy and Mario for a fabulous tour. We can't wait to go back.

I'll only buy a few for me and Ruth. Given our ages, we'll continue to focus on older VPs and Madeiras for us. However, our granddaughter was born in 2011 and I'll buy a several mixed cases for her to enjoy several decades from now.

I feel quite fortunate, as my wife loves both Madeira and Port, is fine with me buying more of both than I probably should, and enjoys taking taking Roy's tours to Portugal (they are great, btw).

1994 Kopke Colheita. I poured a glass last night, and set it at my desk while I worked for an hour, and the room filled with such a great aroma. I didn't even need to drink it to enjoy it (but I did).

I plan to be there and hope to bring several wine drinkers from (not at) work to expose them to the Port experience. See you there.
