I found it at RWC. There were 2 listed. I grabbed one, and the other sold minutes after. In retrospect, I should have purchased the other, as well, for one of the 'gang' to buy...

Burgundy, and it's not even close. In fact, a few years ago, I sold all the Bordeaux that I had unfortunately acquired while under the influence (of Robert Parker).

Re: DOMINIC SYMINGTON
Lastly, make sure you only serve Port in decent glasses, at least white wine size. Even the standard ISO is too small. Hi Dom, Does your comment about the larger size glasses apply to wood-aged Ports as well? Thanks so much for answering our questions. It has been very enlightening. Cheers, Steve

At this point that weekend looks good, but I won't be able to make a firm commitment for a few weeks. I'm sorry that I can't give a definitive answer yet. Thanks for organizing, Barry.

Re: 3-4 value ports for a nice beginner-oriented tasting
Congrats, Terry! [cheers.gif] I would strongly recommend a 20 year tawny instead of the 10 year. To me, there is a huge jump in quality and complexity that is well worth the price differential. Sandeman and Ferreira Duque de Braganca are two that I can suggest, though there are other good choices as...

Re: ONLY Madeira - Cellar size and average Vintage of your bottles
I'm such a Madeira geek that I did this all by hand. Seeing what wines I had, calculating age and then the average. 169 bottles of vintage and solera. 68 bottles of nonvintage. Average vintage of vintage and solera wines 1922. Not counting some bottles not delivered yet. Eric, please let me know th...

I usually tip around 20%, and much higher than that if corkage fees are waived or reduced. I rarely buy wine off the list; I almost always bring my own wine to dinner. Excellent wine service and stemware are greatly appreciated, enhance the meal, and are worth the price to me. I penalize the wait st...
