This was a good decision by the group.

I'm curious to see how the two bottles of 1966V turn out. I think that D'Oliveira's wines, especially the dryish wines, gain significantly from bottle time.

According to the back label, the 1910S was bottled in the 1970s and recorked in 2009. I haven't seen that with D'Oliveira's before this.

Has anyone tried the new 30 year malvasia from Barbeito? How does it compare to the older version?

I think the 1978 Barbeito boal is my favorite modern boal. It shows the Barbeito style well.

Balanced sweetness. Lacks complexity.The lower alcohol level made it easier to drink more. I think it is a good choice for a fortified wine in the summer. I'm glad that I have two more bottles. I have not tried any other Rivesaltes.

The back label describes it as "sweet natural amber wine". Other than the alcohol content, it reminded me of some of the colheita madeiras with shorter aging times.
