I use the Cognac glass from Schott Zwiesel's Diva range. It is similar in shape to the Riedel, but a bit bigger. I do have the official IVDP-glass, but my nose is too big to fit comfortably in the glass... :oops:

Roy, are you sure Niepoort ages its Colheitas in demijohns? Garrafeira, yes, but Colheita? And I'm curious as to which producers you know use stainless steel for their Colheitas. I know it is done for "regular" Tawny, but it would make the officially allowed term of "matured in wood&q...

I have also not tasted the 01 Secundum - but the Guimaraens IS my favourite of the vintage (of the Ports I've tasted so far). Pricing on the Secundum is better than on the SEcundum, though...

I spotted these as well...only it was at J&B, and the bottles were magnums...I'm pretty sure they were dummies (AFAIK, Nacional has never bottled in magnum).

40 Year Old Tawny Port by Quinta da Romaneira

Quinta da Romaneira NV “Over 40 Years Old” Tawny Port (bottled 2004). Apparently, the 1935 vintage is used for 50% of the blend, with younger vintages used to freshen things up. 21% alcohol. A dark mahogany colour, fading to yellow and colourless on the rim. Not very outspoken on the nose. No notic...
