Re: 1937 port. (only 1 photo) should i buy it?

fill level is low in the neck of the bottle. not bad. the seller says there are no markings on the capsule as far as he knows but the bottle is at his mothers house so he can not confirm. he asks 210€ which is a bit much for me for a mystery bottle. he also said the bottle has been laying in a dark ...

Quinta da Taboadella Villae white and alfrocheira reserva (single variety wine) this Dao quinta is owned by the same family that has Quinta Nova de Nossa Senhora do Carmo in the Douro. the winery is brand new and has a very interesting architecture. I hope to visit Taboadella in the next few years....

Re: What is the BEST Port you have consumed in 2020

i haven't had many ports at all. there is still some time in 2020 though :D
best so far was Niepoort 1992 LBV.

i'm thinking either 2005 noval silval or 1995 Fonseca Guimaraens could be next to open. or maybe 2004 kopke.

Quinta Mendes Pereira Dao red, white, red reserva, encruzado and rose. All are outstanding wines. I especially mention the rose as it is only touriga nacional and is a serious wine unlike many fruity light only-in-summer rose wines.

i guess i'll start. i'm in the Dao region (close to Tabua) for a few weeks. going out is limited (like anywhere else) but there might be some options to maybe check out a winery.

Around the world in 80 ports. (travelers networking)

The pandemic has shown me how important it is to stay connected, even at a safe distance. Social distancing should be physical distancing and social proximity in my opinion. It is time we all stick together and show some love as clearly everyone needs it. That gave me the idea for this topic. The po...
