Re: Do you admit that you can enjoy a young VP, too?

The best VP i ever drank was the 2004 Quinta do Javali ! An explosion of fruit and silkiness. No VP came even close.

Re: How many bottles of Port do you own today?

Erik, i hope all is alright? Why'd you sell it all off? All is well Andy. Someone made me a very good offer for it which i could not refuse (Godfather tune). Nah, the price was that good so i decided to sell it off. And the times i drink a very rare bottle are a few times a year so for me its bette...

Re: An early discussion of 2007 Vintage Ports

All depends on the price when released. I bought a case of 2005 Niepoort when it was just released and now i see i can buy it much cheaper in the stores. And......i think prices wont go up very much in a 20 years time period, so if i want to try a bottle of 2007 in 2027 i assume that the price, comp...

Re: Skiing

nope, not me. I once did "langlaufen", on skis through the woods. That was fun. However, i dont see myself together with a few thousand tourists skiing off a mountain, then go back up that mountain again and do it all over.

And.....its to freaking cold also !!!

Re: Cost of Port

The most expensive bottle i ever bought was a Niepoort Garrafeira 1940 for € 300. But i would buy a Nacional for € 1000 if the bottle was pristine.

For bottles i really want to have and i know their history a bit or i trust the seller im willing to pay a little more.

Mix them in a blender et voila. Simple but oh so good. The mushrooms i baked for 7 minutes in oil, then...
