Re: 1994 Martinez Vintage Port
Todd, thanks for the great note and the good news. I do have an untouched case of 12. I think I will let them in the cellar for some more years. There is a thread from Ronald here http://www.fortheloveofport.com/ftlopforum/viewtopic.php?f=12&t=969&p=5550&hilit=martinez+1994#start_here an...

Re: Why is there no Vintage Niepoort available anywhere?
Roy, sorry to correct you, but Austria's market soooooo small - honestly - and prices are so outrageous, that i simply can not confirm that it is a market mentionworthy. Prices here are 70EUR at minimum - when i compare this to other countries...well, i shouldn't. Just my 2c Andreas, you should hav...

Re: Ferreira Dona Antónia Reserve Port
Andy,
thanks for the note. I like this one a lot. As you mentioned, a fine house Tawny and at a very reasonable price. I like this beautiful and fresh Tawny character of the Dona Antónia Reserve. I would rate this a bit higher.
Cheers

In Germany you would have to pay some shabby 149 € for this bottle.

Re: Which VP year do you have the most bottles of?
Michael, You appear to have similar taste to Jan-Tore. Roy, multiple reasons for that order. Relatively new to Port, Classic Vintages, state occasions (2000: wedding year, 2003: year of birth youngest daughter) control of storing conditions and last but not least affordability. I would love to buy ...

Re: #16 What is your favorite vintage of Ferreira VP?
First of all: I never had a Port from Ferreira which was disappointing. Even basic quality as the Dona Antonia Reserva with its beautiful Tawny charakter was a pleasure to drink. I love the 10 years and 20 years old Tawny. The first mentioned is a terrific VFM. When it comes to vintage, I had tasted...

Re: 1999 Warre's LBV [b.2003]
Todd, thanks for the note. I do like this one very much. High excuse factor :) .For my taste it is a tight weaved LBV in a classy style with hints of red fruits. It is already appealing, but it is so young and there is probably great potential. So I do like you denoted and put some bottles into the ...

1994 Noval LBV Question
Does for 1994 Quinta do Noval LBV exist an unfitered and a filtered version or is there only one version? If so, filtered or unfiltered? I have never seen a label of this wine which mentioned that it is a traditional/unfiltered LBV.
What would you expect as aging potential?
Thank you.

Very sad that they are out. Nevertheless a fascinating match. It seemed like the tie was too much stress for the Dutchies. Great goal keeper Edwin van der Sar!

What a simple match yesterday. I only managed 45 minutes at the monitor. Astonishing that the Turkish team reached the semi final. I hope the match today will be much better and the Dutch team will make it.

Re: Euro 2008 starts this Sat (June 7th)...
Anyone watched the match yesterday- Portugal vs The Mannschaft? A good one IMO. I was a bit disappointed about the Portuguese (I like them a lot)- barely magic was possible. I would assume that the other favorated teams had not much fun with the disciplined effort of the german team. Ballack- what a...

Re: Any information on Niepoort Quinta do Passadouro 1997?
Thanks. Good to see the Fonseca's went for more than I was prepared to pay. I don't feel guilty now for not bidding. Hi Ronnie, please correct me, if I am wrong. I calculate a price per bottle of 480 € x 1,2975/12= 51,90 € (incl. buyers premium and taxes, without shipping). As you have to pay at th...

Re: Dow Crusted (bottled 2002)
Correct me if I'm wrong, but I've never seen a harvest date on a Crusted Port as they are a blend of 2-3 vintages. The only date that appears is the year it was bottled... So it is with the Graham's Crusted Port (bottled in 2001). I suppose it's their secret what goes into the Crusted Port. Michael
