Re: What is the problem with cardboard boxes?
Room is dark, it's a wine cellar. Room is dry, it's a modern house. Boxes are sturdy, they are new packing boxes. All should be well.

Re: What is the problem with cardboard boxes?
Remember that all wine should be stored in the dark, so if the boxes are open to the room, be sure the room is not regularly lit. What is the problem with cardboard boxes?

The boxes are open to the room.

Re: Name change in Madeira
As of today, there is a NEW name for the international airport in Madeira. In Portuguese it sounds best: Aeroporto da Madeira Cristiano Ronaldo. I could be wrong, but this very well might just be the very first international airport named after a FIFA star!?!?! I do not think so. Check out: George ...

Thank you ThomasV. As this is not available to me in Norway, you could persuade Roy, who has plenty, to send a bottle or two our way.

Re: Cellar worthy Ports
I have had a cellar since 1979, when I bought 24 btls of Martinez 1970. This was the last vintage to be imported to Norway in pipes. Long corks and clear wax covering, no foil. They cost me 112 NOK a bottle, and I have 2 left. They have moved cellar twice, but have been settled now since 1990. The ...

What do you mean by provenance?
Surely all bottles from the same producer, from the same vintage, has the same provenance.
ie come from the same place of origin.
