Yes. I've seen that too. A poor showing and then years later.... it comes around! It's magic!
I love it when that happens.

Re: 1980 Dow Vintage Port

It's a great VP. You can never have too much of the 1980 Dow VP in your cellar.

1986 Graham Quinta dos Malvedos Vintage Port

I've had this in my cellar for a long time. It's clear that my Vinotheque has great cooling, but average humidity. The cork was crumbly, but the wine was good. No leakage. Dark color. Re: 1977 Dow's Vintage Port

Hi John.
It's a very strong wine. If you believe that the storage was not proper or that it is leaking, then feel free to drink it. It's delicious! On the other hand, if you have a perfectly stored, non-leaking bottle, I would hold on for another 5-10 years.

NV Agri-Roncão Lot 70 Old Tawny Port -- 70 Year Old

Bottled in 2021. Very clean appearance. Medium ruby bit a substantial amber rim. Nose is balsamic, coconut, orange peel, spun sugar, graham crackers (!), marshmallow, slightly grilled beef. The palate is extremely complex. Real concentration. Not a bit off - extremely clean. Wonderful! 96 points.

1997 Quinta do Portal Vintage Port

1976 Krohn Colheita Port

Bottled in 2011. Almost coffee colored. Ruby core with very substantial copper rim. Lemon creme brûlée nose. Really fills the palate. Torrefaction is the theme of this Post. Some sweetness in that mid palate, but the acid his quite high and gives a welcome life. Really easy to drink this in spite to...
