It's similar to the decision GM made to discontinue the Pontiac brand. Each brand is expensive and time consuming to maintain, and if a single company has multiple brands, especially when there are not enough differentiating factors, the weak must perish.

Congrats! I'm more of a Madeira guy, but the 63 Nacional remains the greatest vintage Port I've ever had.

I don't mean to pour gasoline on the fire, as I know nothing, But I did come across their website, which contains no information at all. Hopefully someone with more knowledge can chime in.
