I think that "Frank" may refer to Frank Yeatman, who did work on grape varieties with Taylor. Perhaps the number refers to a grape variety.

I recently picked up two bottles of 1994 Malvasia Colheita 18a. When opened on Saturday, it had good fragrance, pleasant flavor, and a short finish. After four days at 62 F, the flavor has opened up and the finish is longer. Bottled in 2004. 1,540 bottles (500ml). I would like to find this in the US...

My all-time favorite is 1954 Leacock Terrantez. It was a little sweeter than I had expected. I had it about 7-8 years ago.

1920 Blandy Bual was a close second.
