And why didn't you buy them out? :)
A year ago, but they are not moving a ton of fancier stuff... They also had Barros Colheita for terrific pricing.

I don't go chasing Colheita like I would for VP. There's always a good deal on tawny from someone that a Colheita just isn't as attractive... I am happy with 10 & 20 year tawny if I am not drinking VP. Maybe in retrospect I should've bought them? [dash1.gif]

Very good! That's about the best I see on wine-searcher at the moment, and less than I paid four years ago (US$75).

Very nice! And yes, their new packaging for those older Colheitas is pretty spiffy. :-)

Nice score. Are the Sandeman's in the new bottle with the glass stopper?

Thanks, I decided 20% off already decent prices was worth loading up a bit. The first thing I noticed when I picked them up is the Sandemans are indeed in the new bottles. I did not notice a glass stopper as it will be a bit before I open one as it becomes the "house" Tawny. What I did notice was the flare at the bottom of the bottle making it very hard to put in my cellar's standard racks.

Edit: Yes indeed glass stoppers, neato.

I love the look and the new stopper, but agree not a fan of the flared bottom for most cellar racking.

4 x Fonseca 1985 Vintage Port.

Fair price and good condition, so I am stoked. Now I just have to wait 20 somewhat years. [beg.gif]

Thomas V. try one of your 1985 Fonseca's at some point this year. 8-10 hour decant and you'll be a happy camper.

Save the rest, but you will learn a lot by checking this out now at 32 years of age.
