Unfiltered; bottled in 2003; regular cork. Double decanted 14 hours prior. Lots of fine sediment. Deep reddish purple, looks dense. Deep and ample aromas of sweet plums, almost candyish. Such a full aroma; one of the most pronounced I can recall. First tastes are meaty and sweet, dark plums emerge with hints of concord grape and some earthy undertones. This is still a bruiser and could easily age another 10 years. The downside is it is a bit too sweet. Moderate finish. A fine LBV.
