I was having an off palate night, possibly caused by dinner at Cucina Cucina, so my ratings were significantly lower than everyone else's. In some cases I have reverted back to my initial impressions because, in retrospect, those seem more appropriate given how others were scoring.
1967 Dalva Colheita
bottled 2009
Color: Medium tawny.
Nose: Citrus, some leather. A healthy nose for a Colheita.
Palate: Tart, apricots, nicely balanced.
Finish: Medium long, smooth and even.
Score: 92 points. About as freshly bottled of a Colheita as you're likely to find. I could easily see this earning a few more points on a night when my palate is behaving better, but it was excellent even on this particular night. I wouldn't mind picking up a few bottles of this.

Re: 1967 Dalva Colheita
I found lotsa love in this Port both on the aforementioned night and when I first had it (2x) in Portugal in May. Wonderful stuff and one of the highlights of the tasting on the 5th Anniv. event. That acidity combined with the multi-layered middled ... wow!
Ambition driven by passion, rather than money, is as strong an elixir as is Port. http://www.fortheloveofport.com
