A black plum and lavender nose. Smooth texture with blueberries, oak, eucalyptus, and moderate tannins which show up late and give depth to the body. While the palate is soft it finishes dusty and rough, though in a good way in which it keeps it from being monotonous. The finish is sufficiently long with a slight surge of brandy. A very nice LBV in its own right, and at closeout for the $9 a bottle I paid at a local retailer has me feeling like I got away with stealing.
