2015 Quinta do Vesuvio vintage port

Besides the Dow's i also got a Quinta do Vesuvio 2015 vintage port cask sample. Tasted side by side.
Very dark purple color, almost black. Compared to the Dow's no purple edge, which make ik look like it is even more concentrated. The nose gives some alcohol, dark fruit like blueberries and you smell some fresh flowers.
I taste cassis in the mouth, accompanied with soft red fruits such as raspberries and licorice. Perfectly balanced, sultry and powerful at the same time. Due tot its intensity, this vintage port explodes in the mouth and continues to go on and on. An impressive vintage port! 96/100

Both are really well made and good vintage port, but this is more my style.

O.k., maybe I'll have to buy some 2015 Vesuvio along with some Crasto and possibly Niepoort. Thanks for the note!

Those are my top picks as well as the Guimaraens [beg.gif]
