Could be that this vintage port is still in a closed phase and that 3 hrs decanting was too short. Have one more bottle which I will try in a couple of years, and with longer decanting time.
Decanted 3 hrs. Medium red colour with a tiny touch of brown. Deep complex aroma of fruit which is a bit subdued. Medium body. General impression of the taste is that it is older than 1999. Taste is including amongst others prunes. Relatively short aftertaste. 87 pts.

Looking at others notes it would appear that way. Pretty consistent low 90's scores from a variety of people in the past. Put that other bottle away for a few more years.
