1997 Martinez Vintage Port
Tasted blind. Smells of menthol, eucalyptus, mint, and summer weeds; warm with straight ethanol spirit, and blackberry bush. Later there was a slightly off aroma, just a hint of mustiness. Flavors of orange and nectarine mixed in with berry compote. This is not as primary as #8 (1997 Gould Campbell), but also has lots of fruit. Refreshing. Lots of acid. This is perplexing trying to hazard a guess. later there was a little raisin aroma. 92 points.
