1997 Taylor Vintage Port

Post by Eric Menchen »

Tasted blind. Aroma is a little spicy, with a little alchol warmth, a little licorice, and even lighter tar. Later there was some dried strawberry. Lots of juice, lots of power, lots of tannins even. Flavors of grape, black currant, and black plum skin. power and refreshing. Later, this was still spicy with cola and vanilla aromas. 94+ points.

Rereading this note, I should have been able to guess this one. I had never had 1997 Taylor, but that spice, warmth, and power really fit the house style.
