From a tasting at Pete's Fine Wines in Bellevue, WA, on December 14, 2008.
1991 Warre's Vintage Port
paired against 2006 Dow's Senhora da Ribeira SQVP
Red and pink in the glass, with a translucent pink rim. Feminine, raspberry nose. After some time, a bit of pine and possibly some leather shows up. It's a bit thin in the mouth, especially compared to the Senhora da Ribeira. The finish also seems shallow and weak.
I suspect that the pairing defeated this Port, because I have seen many other TNs for it which have shown much better. It just couldn't stand up to the youngster of a Dow that we tasted it against.

Re: 1991 Warre's Vintage Port
Yeah not the best two to pair together. Warre's is always more of a softer feminine VP and to pair it against a baby just a couple years old isn't exactly fair when the Warre's is now 17 years old.
