Here's the report I just posted on our memorable tour and dinner at the Factory House, hosted by Dominic Symington and David Guimaraens: http://rjonwine.wordpress.com/2010/06/0 ... in-oporto/

The dinner looks like it was wonderful! Some day I hope to be able to visit the Factory House; it would be well worth the trouble of packing a suit.

An excellent read, thanks again Richard. It is far more fun to read about it then write about it for a rare change.
One thing I noted, the Wed. luncheon that I attended was a full on full-service multi-course lunch and not a buffet. But that was a long time ago and there were a ton more members at that point in time. I wish I had asked for autographs because the vast majority of those folks were from the previous generation of the Port trade and those "all-stars" are for the most part, retired or no longer living. I am thrilled to still have the photos ... the type that were taken with a camera holding film.

Ambition driven by passion, rather than money, is as strong an elixir as is Port. http://www.fortheloveofport.com
