Patrick Grubb's Madeira Offering

Post by Roy Hersh »

He is putting his Madeira collection up for sale.

I hope Patrick is healthy and does not HAVE to sell!

The original catalogue showed 'NO VAT'

The listing has now been updated to show VAT (20%) will be charged on 'nearly all' of the lots.

Is the actual auction up yet? Or will it be in-person only?

The auction is on now - but it's 2 days and the Grubb items may be tomorrow.

Indeed - but not to me!
I bid on 7 lots and historically get 25-30% success rate.
1 lot I was nowhere close.
1 lot successful
1 lot - price realized equalled my high bid - but someone else could have been first past the post
4 lots - I was second highest bidder!
So either 1 or 2 lots - now I have to get them back (but they won't go bad!).
