There needs to be follow up questions to narrow down the list. Which vineyards in particular, any industry connections, etc...
Rhone, Burgundy, and Piedmont caught my eye first, but Champagne and Rioja would be fun too. It all depends on what kind of access you have.
Heck, I'd pick Napa if I was going deep into Inglenook and Diamond Creek's cellars...

Barboursville Estates is making some great stuff. Elys and I had thought about visiting there as it would be nice road trip.Andy Velebil wrote:That did take me by surpriseJohn F. Newman wrote:well at least Virginia USA lade the list, lol.

Re: best wine region to visit - vote for
It is just "to visit" - not its wines. Only from photos and a little reading, I too would have thought some of the others are more attractive from a visitor's point of view. The Alentejo scenery is not particularly spectacular (although the most spectacular view I have ever seen was from the top of the castle in Monsaraz). The food is very good, and they eat a lot of it, but I am not fond of the wines. If you are planning a visit, July and August are usually over 100ºF in the daytime.Ronald Wortel wrote: From this list Burgundy, Champagne, Mosel, Piedmont and Tuscany would all be higher on my list.
