I've received official word they only shipped the Seixo. There was no "regular" Ferreira shipped.

Excellent and thank you. I had looked all over the web and could not find any signs of a regular bottling, only 1 retailer had it listed wrong circa mid-March when I was looking at what else we could add that is not already coming. I have not done that lately. If anyone sees 1983 VP's that are available in the USA that are not on our list, please do let me know and I will buy them for our tasting.

It's finally official - all conflicts have been revolved; we're absolutely, positively going to be there on the 20th with our two bottles of Port in hand. Can't wait!

Hey Roy, tried PMing you twice but it's not showing up in my sent items, so if you could just confirm that you got it, that would be awesome! Thanks. So excited!

Tickets booked for Marijke & me. We'll both be in Seattle, but when I'm drinking Port with my fellow :ftlop:ers, she'll be hanging with some of our other friends.

Eric, thank you ... I received and read your email and replied to it ... er, PM.

As we need to have the bottles decanted ahead of time properly, would it be possible for the out-of-towners to ship their bottles to me? I will have a team of decanters here and I own about 15 decanters (and stock in the local cheesecloth producer), so we can do this properly.

Here is my contact info:

Email: [email protected]

Please let me know UPS (preferred) or FedEx and day the bottle is supposed to arrive.

Roy - we'll be flying up Thursday night, so we'll bring the bottles to your house Friday morning.

Carl,

Please call before coming over, as I have a lot to get done including airport pickups that day.

Thanks!

Roy

But of course! If you're busy when we're in the neighborhood, maybe we could drop them off at Glenn's instead. I'm sure we'll work it out.

That would actually be great, Carl. I was at his home a few nights ago and I see Glenn now has a few extra decanters. So it would be great if you could get them to him on Friday, because I only have 14 or 15 decanters and we have nearly 20 bottles.

To all, I learned today that :ftlop: friend, Maurice Fitzhugh will not be able to make it to our tasting, which is a real bummer. A classy guy, he has shipped his bottle to me anyway to include in our tasting. I'll be sure to make that up to him, as he lives in WA state as well. :winepour: :winepour: :winepour: Feel better Maurice!!!

I have two things on my plate tonight ... finishing the newsletter (finally!) and mailing out some basic info re: this tasting to all participants. It is likely I will not be going to bed anytime soon. [bye2.gif]

I'll be at work until 5:30 or so, then hope to get in a run if the weather us nice enough, but we can figure something out. Eric and Marijke arrive Friday evening, too.

I have Eric's bottles, so if you could please do me a favor and decant your bottle and that of Carl and Phyllis, we should be good to go.

I sent out the email and realize I forgot one thing ... baguettes.

All the rest should be good, Glenn if you can please remember to bring the phone numbers for the 2 restaurants, that would be appreciated.

Ok, back for the final push on the newsletter! [d_training.gif] [d_training.gif] [d_training.gif]

I've never been to a tasting with all of you before, so this could be a silly question, but will the bottles be at the tasting for viewing post the blind tasting? I would love to see them all, as I've probably only ever laid eyes on about half of these bottles in person before.

Yes, our photography instincts demand the viewing after each of the two sessions. I hope you received the email? Looking forward to meet you, Brad! [cheers.gif]

Ok, just found one bottle I've never even heard of which should now round us up to two flights of ten. Stupid price, but I am a sucker for even numbers. I hope you've all been practicing your consumption. :winebath:
