2018 Vancouver Int'l. Wine Festival

Post by Roy Hersh »

The announcement was made that Portugal and Spain will share the spotlight during the 2018 festival as the "Featured Countries".

It was at this festival about fifteen years ago, when I met Mario Ferreira, as he was working at the IVP at the time, based in NYC. Back in 2002, (the year my daughter was born) was the last time that Portugal was the featured country alongside Germany that time. Sadly, it was the last few days that I would ever get to see and have a chance to hang out with Bruce Guimaraens, as he passed away just a few months later.

I very well might have to make my first trip up there to the festival. I have been thinking about it for years.
