theater in Copenhagen

Post by Bert VD »

i've noticed there's a few people from Denmark on the forum. i'll be in Copenhagen this week with a dance/circus performance. you're very welcome to come see the show in Dansehallerne friday, saturday or sunday :-)

(more people doesn't equal more money for us, this isn't really meant as advertising. just me wanting to meet people and suggest watching a show that i really like myself.)

Hi Bert,

Thanks for the heads up. Unfortunately I am in Aarhus and wont be in Copenhagen this weekend. Else I would definitely have stopped by to catch your show. Sounds fun.

I just wanted to give you a heads up while in Copenhagen. If you feel the need to quench your thirst for port here are 2 awesome port wine bars in central Copenhagen, see links below. Also make sure to visit the Papirøen aka Paper Island which is a great food market as well as the famous "Strøget" - shopping street with cobblestone. And if you have time the Queens residence Amalienborg and the little Mermaid of course.

I hope you enjoy your stay in my country's capital. Ohh and watch out for the bikers.

Have a great time, Bert.

Next time, post ahead of time and you will be able to arrange a tasting with those from Copenhagen. Then again, you might not be able to keep up with them, as drinking 2 bottles of Port per night is no big deal (per person) there. I had fortunately just come from the Port Harvest Tour and was already well fortified, so keeping up was not a challenge. But the Danes do have hollow legs.
Ambition driven by passion, rather than money, is as strong an elixir as is Port. http://www.fortheloveofport.com

as my job requires i work late at night it wasn't easy to fit in a visit to a port bar. but yesterday just before midnight we went to SP34 and had:
Taylor's 1964 single harvest (bottled 2014), Taylor's 2009 LBV and Ramos Pinto 2000 VP :-)
