Re: Portuguese Wine Quiz
Doesn't Warre claim 1670 or so? And for Taylor, it was established in 1692, by Job Bearsley. Joseph Taylor, John Alexander Fladgate, and Morgan Yeatman joined in 1838. And I have 1678 for Croft in my notes. Quarles Harris is 1680.Who were the first port houses established by the English in 1700s?
Warre & Co.
Croft & Taylor

Re: Portuguese Wine Quiz
New Quinta estates and small label producers began popping up, but I don't think the large houses really dissolved. Name one. When did Portugal receive EU status? As result, what happened to Port production?
1986; Large houses and co-ops began to dissolve into smaller Quinta estates

Re: Portuguese Wine Quiz
And I might disagree on some of the best years for Vintage Port. 2008 over 2004 or 2005? 1982 over 1987?
