Premiere Cru tax question

Post by Eric Menchen »

So I've received notice that I'm going to get a piddley check from the bankruptcy proceedings. Does anyone know if I can claim my loss due to the bankruptcy somehow on my US income taxes? If so, how (what form, where in TurboTax ...) ?

Kari says probably not, unless you can claim it as a business loss. Generally, personal losses aren't tax deductible. Your best hope would be if you paid with a credit card and your card had some sort of guarantee.
