Andreas, not everyone here speaks English as a first language. Please keep that in mind.

Guys - relax!

But I think it is important to know where R is based. Plus I thought this is a real names forum.

BTW my english is not even "quite OK", and that's something I know, but that doesn't mean that I can't joke about it...especially since I am in R's boat.

We would prefer the whole name rather than the first initial, but his user name does meet our most basic requirements.

Hi Rui; I am not aware of any of the major shippers declaring 1921, though others may know definitively; if there are any vintage ports from that year, they will certainly be very uncommon. You will likely have more chance to obtain a colheita, though this would likely then be from a producer better known for their colheitas (whereas the names you listed are those better known for their vintage ports).

Perhaps, an unusual but interesting option instead of a big name, could be a bottle of the 1921 Colheita from Shackleton-Rowett's Antartic expedition of 1921?

Hi Rui,

I have never personally seen any bottle of 1921 Port. 1920 and 1922 yes, but none from the year you are requesting. That doesn't mean that others might have seen a true Vintage Port from that year or possibly a known Colheita that you might consider. I wish you luck in your hunt.

As for your English ... it is far better than my Portuguese, that I can promise you. Thanks for participating here! :scholar:

I too have not seen a 1921. I have a couple of 1926, and every now and then an odd year shows up for one of the more obscure producers, so it isn't out of the realm of possibilities. As for Shakleton, I looked at some of their manifests, and they did have Port on board. I don't recall the brand, or if it was even listed.

Garrafeira Nacional lists 1921 Real Vinicola Garrafeira Port. I don't have any experience about the store, just found it out with google.
