Exceeding Expectations

Post by John M. »

I opened a 1989 Dow's Q.de Bomfim last night. I drank a little last night. Based on the TNs here I was not expecting much more than a moderate experience. While not great, this is a good port and quite pleasant to drink---it showed more youthful than I expected, too.....don't you love when this happens? (To me, these surprises are "Karma offsets" for bad bottles when expecting better)

Totally love when that happens. I feel like I hit the jackpot. Do you think it has peaked or still has room for improvement?

I'd say drink now or over the next 5 years. Has some upside potential for a little more aging.

This is certainly an off-the-radar Port, but I have a feeling that Andy has a big stash of these or he would not be this quiet about it. [berserker.gif]

Thanks John!
