TN: 2010 Casa Ferreirinha Quinta da Leda Douro red

Decanted 2 hrs 45 min. Dark red colour with a light rim. Fresh aroma of berries, combined with hints of oak, tobacco and minerals. Medium body. Quite smooth and well-structured at start, but the light-weight body is a bit disturbing. Nice balance acidity/sweetness. Powerful tannins including currant. Towards the end a pleasant mix of berries, oak and minerals. Medium length aftertaste. A bit too light in the style. 89 pts.
