TN: 2007 Herdade do Mouchao Tinto Alentejo red

Decanted 5 hrs. Deep dark red colour with a light rim showing a touch of brown. Deep aroma of oak and berries in addition to leather and fruit with acid touch (currant). Medium to full body. Taste is a powerful mix of berries, oak and terroir. This red wine is on the dry side, but the tannins are still OK. Currant is very clear towards the end. The structure of the wine is not as good as 2003 and 2005. Relatively short aftertaste. 91 pts.
