TN: 2003 Herdade do Mouchao Tinto Limited Edition Alentejo red

Decanted 5.5 hrs. Deep dark red colour with a tiny touch of brown (latter is visible when pouring the wine). Wonderful, deep aroma of fruit and oak. Full body. The immediate reaction of the taste is that it is so well-structured and well balanced acidity/sweetness. Powerful and elegant. Taste is showing fruit, oak, minerals in a nice combination where there is no “disturbances”. Nice and dry with good tannins, but still having a fresh style. Long aftertaste where some herbs are noticeable. A 14-year-old red wine which in my opinion is ready to drink. 95 pts.
