Lunch with Portuguese friends at Graham’s Vinum restaurant, Gaia.
Decanted 0.5-1.0 hr during lunch. Purple colour. Wonderful aroma of berries, minerals and a touch of vanilla. Medium body. Taste is dominated by berries, some minerals and polished tannins. Well balanced acidity/sweetness and well structured. Medium length aftertaste. A pleasant wine but without the “personality” which I have seen on the 2009-vintage. 89 pts.
